Roswell'S5, your car sounds amazing but...
what kind of performance & power increases have you noticed? More high end, low end or just throttle response?

The exhaust upgrade was only for audible and visual improvement...
I have not been able to notice any real improvements in performance. The louder sound makes it sound faster though!
It seems like with the less restricted mufflers and resonators it is a little more lively and reacts more quickly to throttle response while in neutral. I have not been able to note any changes in normal driving, but i hear a typical system adds about 10 hp, on top of 354 hp that is not much.
My gas mileage has gone down though, only because the sound is addicting. i hold gears longer, downshift for the hell of it... hopefully that will subside, with oil over $100 (94 right now) a barrel its making driving this car a bit costly.
if you're enthusiastic about this car and it's V8, an aftermarket exhaust is a no question requirement to bolt on. Trust me. I literally laugh when taking off, and even accelerate slower just to hear the exhaust for a longer period of time before i shift into cruising gears.

Congrats on the exhaust! As a true car and sound enthusiast this would definitely be my first mod (and those darn spacers) ;-o))
You got it done at ICS, yeah? Great guys, arent't they. George and Brian have done a long list of mods on my car. I generally dyno the car before and after a 'major' mod, would be really curious to see the numbers the Milteks are putting out. I have seen gains on RS4s of about 15-18 whp (including some of their cutomerrs' cars), which is VERY significant for an exhaust alone. That perhaps tells you how restrictive the stock cans are, not sure that is the case with the S5, maybe they are more free-flowing. After all, the 4.2 engine on the S5 makes more torque than on the RS4 (granted there has been some additional FSI improvements).
I have a highly modded E39 M5, and running Supersprint all the way (headers, X-pipe, end end cans), just kept the stock cats. While headers added about 30rwhp, the end cans with X-pipe (which deleted my resonators) were good for no more than 3-5rwhp. The biggest plus was the sound of course, but also the stock exhaust was a hog, I shed about 45lbs just from the switch.
Any idea whether there was any weight gain by going to the Millteks?
