Just a few more S5 questions...

Re: Just a few more S5 questions...
I was 80% for Meteor Gray - but after some of these posts I'm even more confused! :-)
Quattrings - given the choice over you'd really go Phantom over Meteor Gray? (your car looks incredible!)

Phantom Black is probably your color then. I remember seeing Phantom Black a month ago at another dealer and it looked gray in the sun which I didn't particularly like. If I was going to get gray than I would have gotten Meteor Gray. I didn't take any pics but I remember saving a pic of somone who posted Phantom Black in the sun and it looked gray (see above of Phantom Black). I think if you are in between Black and Gray, seriously take a look at Phantom Black. I just didn't like black turning to grey in the sun, just my personal preference.

Thank you for the compliment. (some examples)
Don't get me wrong, there are some times that I admire the color (direct sunlight) but here are some pics for the times where I struggle with it. Hopefully this will help you make your decision.

Anyone have photos of Quartz Gray?

And I see what you are saying Quattrings with regards to the Meteor Gray. I still like the color though and maintenance/care wise it will be tons easier than going with the Phantom Black. Hmmm....

fwiw, i went to the audi driving experience today and saw S5s in many colors
at that time of day- right before sunset- i thought the meteor grey looked amazing, especially w/ magma interior. they had ibis white, brilliant red, and brilliant black cars too. you can't go wrong with any of them, stunning in every color.

Can you comment on the Audi Drive? I am signed up for this week...
Which location? What cars were you driving and how? Do you have to qualify to ride the R8? How long was the whole thing?
Thanks for that and anything more...

IMO, I don't like the way my phantom black looks in direct sunlight...
I does look a little dusty, but I live in Indiana so it's not much of an issue If I lived somewhere with a lot of sunny days, I would have gone with basic black. Most of our days are overcast, so the car looks black with just a little sparkle to it.

It only looks gray when you're very close in direct sun but the metallic pearl paint is cool.
At first i questioned it, but after a week or so i liked it much more. After two months of owning my S5 there's no way i would get Brilliant black.. the only other color i considered.
