Default Finally got around to installing the RS4 Pedals & **** !!!

First of all, Props to 400HPA4 for a great deal & product!!! He's gotta standing GB going @ AZ >>> Deutsch Teile Haus (DTH)
or for similar pricing at >>> VagParts

Just wanted to show them off and pass along some installation tips...
Here we go, OFF w/the AWE & Autovation DP & ON w/the RS4s.

I used soapy water at first but really struggled w/it.
Keep in mind that it's important to stick w/ something that is water soluble so that after the install, it can evaporate and basically be a non-issue.
That being said, I switched to another water soluble lubricant. K-Y Jelly...
I know, I know, WTF do I have that. You don't wanna know.

Well anyways, that lubricant works like a charm on these pedals.
1. Spread it liberally on the contact points (pedal & plate).
2. No prep to the gas pedal required except #1 above.
3. Gas Pedal; Start at the bottom (6 o'clock) by clipping rubber flange over the gas plate and work yer way to the 9 and up to 12 o'clock. Shove the pedal cover upward to gain more clearance. Then work it into the 3 position. You will here a "Pop/Click" and you know then that it is secure. Wiggle it to confirm and to re-seat the entire pedal cover evenly.
4. Remove A4 OEM brake pedal cover, then #1 above.
5. Brake Pedal; Start by slipping the bottom of the pedal plate onto the top portion of the pedal cover. Work it upward catching all three side lips (left, right and eventually the bottom). When almost centered, it won't be completely seated till you "pop" the center pedal dimple into and onto the pedal plate hole. Do this by firmly applying pedal pressure with the ball of your shoes. You'll feel a slight seating action as it firmly sets into place. Check for proper positioning by firmness of the pedal adherence.
6. Remove A4 OEM clutch pedal cover, then #1 above.
7. Clutch Pedal; This was by far the more PITA, time consuming part. This time, start at the 9 by clipping the rubber flange onto the plate and then to 6. Then go directly to 12 while working the pedal cover upward and towards the 1,2,3 positions. Gloves at this time definitely helps. Keep working it till the rubber flange along side 1-5 clears the pedal plate.
8. Dead Pedal; Piece of Cake and pretty straight forward.
9. Done.
Hope these tips helps some people.

BTW, here's also a pic of the RS4 Shift ****...

IMO, Pretty awesome to say the least...
The look will be complete, once I get the Brushed Aluminum Trim installed

Default Great writeup...

...and I don't want to know about lubricant choices! LOL!!!

Install process looks good. Now that my last pedal arrived, I'll probably do the install next week while I'm on vacation.

Anybody have any idea on how to install the RS4 e-brake handle cover?

Default Thanks (eBrake install instructions, within)...

Yes, I too am gonna do that next...
I did a trial removal of the OEM one and it was somewhat of a PITA, till I figured it out.

1. Pull the eBrake up as high a possible.
2. You'll notice a small notch at the base-end/back side of the handle. Slide the smallest screw driver you can find into that notch, parallel to the eBrake handle. Insert the screw driver far enough to release a push clip that holds the handle into place.
3. While the screwdriver is still inserted, pull the eBrake handle outward.
4. To install new, just simply slide handle into place until clip locks onto the eBrake arm.
5. Done

Hope this helps

Default Footwell shroud needs to be pushed up @ the same time as pulling the opposite end up then out...

Pretty easy once you remove the mounting screw. It's just a matter of figuring out how the DP navigates out of place. Actually, pretty clever on how Audi has engineered it to stay in place.
