Default Mr. Brown Package Finally Installed (Xenon Fog Lights)...

Finally a perfect match to the OEM Xenon Main Beams...
Been patient till the time was right...Pick them up from "Overboostpsi" who hangs out at Audizine but really from HID Visual Creations...
They currently have special pricing for Audi Owners (Site says Audizine Members but I believe that's easy to get around)...

IMO, it's a great value !!!

Some miscellaneous thoughts, comments & learning:
a) The kit is completely and 100% "Plug & Play".
b) Transformer/Ballast is water-resistant.
c) All required installation hardware is included (quick ties, mounting plates, double-sided adhesive, etc.)
d) Packaging is neat and professional.
e) 1 year warranty on all parts.
f) I selected a Xenon Bulb color that I believed matched my OEM Xenons best match (since OEM Xenon Main Beams are at 4300k color temp), I went with a Fog Xenon Bulb at 4000k color temp...I will more than likely go to a 5000k color temp to sharpen the whiteness a little more.
g) When I originally assembled the kit basically I plugged & played and really very fool-proof because all the connections plugged into one another via male/female connectors and also harnesses that mated together only in one way to maintain accurate polarities...This is a good design to prevent any cross wiring foul-ups...
h) Problem & Problem Resolved - As the kit facilitated fool-proof installation, the kit did have one fault in that connection of the patch cord from the OEM fog light harness to the Transformer/Ballast was actually not fool-proof. Polarity at this point could actually be reversed. For my initial installation, I had problems in that the Xenon Bulbs did NOT light. I contacted HID Visual Creations & they helped me through the problem till it worked...So bottom line was that I just flipped the harness connector around and then success !!!

Here's my step-by-step:

1. Remove Fog Grilles

2. Remove Halogen Bulbs

3. Install Xenon Bulb

4. Install Patch Cord (between OEM Fog Harness to Transformer/Ballast)

5. Locate & Mount Transformer/Ballast (Dry Location)
I added a couple layers of poly-foam packing material between the Transformer/Ballast & the Headlight bracket for cushioning & vibration-free mounting. Quick ties are used for securing unit.
