Default eCode LED City Lights..."SUPPLEMENTAL" ASSESSMENT / INSTALLMENT

Just wanted to pass along some info I researched and discovered...

For the people who have ecodes and the never ending saga of burnt out bulbs (hyperwhite type), the high cost of replacement and not to mention the bothersome err code & removal/replacement hassles...

<b>UPDATE (more bulb choices):</b>
'MyRoadster' HyperWhite &gt;&gt;&gt; <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/748926.phtml">Latest Test (12/23/04)</a>
'Autolumination' 5LED/5Direction &gt;&gt;&gt; <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/887207.phtml">Latest Test (11/01/05)</a>

For reference here is my past thread &gt;&gt;&gt; <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/621900.phtml">CityLED Write-Ups (3 parts)</a>

I found a LED City Light that IMO, performs better than the standard Tantrumwerks bulb (4LED type); looks better when off &amp; on and also is a HELL of alot cheaper... The cost for the LED bulb is $1.98 (vs. $27.50) !!! And for the ones who want amber, they are also available.

<center><b>Here is a quick overview of some of the choices.

Here is a side by side comparison of the
<b>'SuperBright' LED vs. 'Tantrumwerks'LED</b>
<img src="http://images.snapfish.com/33%3B9662723232%7Ffp4%3Enu%3D323%3B%3E558%3E459%3E WSNRCG%3D3232736646824nu0mrj"><img src="http://images.snapfish.com/33%3A954%3A323232%7Ffp58%3Dot%3E232%3C%3D649%3D54% 3A%3DXROQDF%3E2323553%3A53%3A62ot1lsi"></center>

The above picture really demonstrates that the performance is similar to one another, but in reality, the 'SuperBright' LEDs actually spreads the light in a broader spectrum delivering brighter and more effective light.

BTW, I also ordered the 'SuperBright' Wide-Angle LED bulbs to test, and they work for ****...Really not worth posting pic

<center><b>Here's a final overall shot</b>

The NEW site that I'd recommend purchasing these are at <a href="http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?product=755&cart_id=5135658.22921">Su perBrightLEDs.com</a>

The prices are awesome...Check'em out !

Any thoughts or comments, please fire away !!!

Default load resistors aren't required?

something tells me that these guys are going to be getting a lot of calls from Audi peeps very, very soon.

Nice work Eddie, and an excellent write up. I guess I'll be ordering these soon (if they're still in stock after everyone on AW reads this thread!)...

Default Hey Eddie- Great find! You saved me $25+A few questions for you....

I was wondering if the LE's are still required for these bulbs to work?
Also, should I get the 12v or 6v?
Thanks in advance.
