so confused. exhaust apr..milltek sizes
i always thought that milltek had larger piping than the apr. apr has 2.5 for the downpipe and 2.25 for the exhaust. milltek has 60mm for the dp and 50 for the exhaust. my math sucks but isnt that smaller than the apr

Re: good stuff. anyone familiar with the mufflers?
I have no idea but I think I remember hearing about someone getting a 2.5in Milltek system. I'm not too sure about that but I recall hearing that once, call up or e-mail stratmosphere.com and see what they say.

if Milltek does make a 2.5in system then I'd go with Milltek for sure but since you're planning on going with a big turbo kit then go with the bigger piping. Like I said the exhaust tips do stick out more than I'd like on my car but it's really not that big of a deal. And there was a post a few days ago about APRs stage 3 car making 340hp. It sounds very promising, I guess APR is going to tell details about it at their BBQ coming up.

MTM = 70mm : no more confusion ; )
But yes, Milltek has smaller pipe dia. (Neuspeed is a full 60mm for comparison). It can also depend on the bends, overall straightness of the pipes, resonator/muffler flow,.. etc. I had both the GHL (full 2.5") and APR (2.5"/2.25") and the GHL clearly flowed/felt better. Both had downpipes as well, and yet my MTM does not and felt as good, or better, then the GHL. Just some food for thought. MTM does some serious R&D with their exhaust systems to get them to perform. One of the few that also sounds relatively quiet for the performance it offers too (and still w/o a downpipe). Imgaine once that downpipe/cat piece is in. Anyways, just going by pipe dia.; I would have to assume the Milltek might be more restrictive - but that's just a guess. The APR had a noticeable loss in power after the GHL. But then the MTM brought it back. Go figure.
