Broke down & got the Insurance Policy Mod !!!
Not really a speedster, but had it only 2 days and you'd be surprised how much this piece of equipment keeps you in check. :0)
Had the Solo and last Nov. was the last straw. It truly was a POS. Sold it on ebay for dirt cheap. Went cold turkey for awhile to build back my "safe" driving habits.

Hardwired w/V1 kit, through roof liner, down A-piller to fusebox area. Simple routing and wiring. Refer to link below for a simplified step-by-step write up.

Yes. Not listed on their site, but if you...
call Valentine direct (ph.# on-line), and inquire about them, they will tell you what they have. Most of the time, they are units that have been returned and really not been used. They just can't legally sell them new. And some are truly "refurbished" damaged units that are warranteed. I considered that, but really wanted one that was fresh and was willing to pay for it.

If you lived in CA, here's another good insurance policy.
Too bad it costs $1800 for a lifetime membership. Alternatively you could pay the $500 initial fee and $300 renewal.
Unfortunately, you have to know someone who's already part of the foundation to get in.

http://www.chp1199.org/</a
