H11 Bulb Shootout- Hoen vs. SPP!
Comparing the Hoen Xenonmatch and SPP Superwhites 55w (both in the $30.00 range shipped). I wanted new H11's for the fogs to get a closer match to the xenon,a white look with the least amount of blue (stock xenons have a very slight purple haze around the edge). The best way to do this was to buy them both and compare them side by side. I've made my decision, but here are the pics for you to decide for yourself. Install is very straight forward. All you need is a Torx T-15 bit and your set.

Finally, here's the bulbs side by side (Hoen-L, SPP-R)

As you can see, both bulbs have a blue tint to the glass which helps to create the desired color output. After studying the pictures and driving around with both, I'm going to stick with the Hoens due to the more distinct pattern and color. The Hoen also looks like it was built with a slightly higher degree of quality. Not a huge difference, but enough to tip the scales for me. The best bulb I have seen to date is the PIAA H11 (slight purple tint on the bulb), which unfortunately only avail. through PIAA UK and would cost quite a bit to import anything less than 100 of them. Hope this may help those who were worried about the two brands.

I bought some Hoen All-weather "yellow" bulbs for my fogs
They don't advertise these on their web site. They have a yellow output. I'm very impressed with these. They are actually kind of weird. When you look at them head on from the front the bulbs look like my HID mains, but they show on object in yellow.
I'm very happy with them.

Here is a photo of a stock vs. a Luks Metal white on my S4.

I rarely drive with my front fogs on, so I figure I'd go with something that is better in fog
I'm honestly very impressed with them!
BTW: Nice comparo! Thanks for taking the time and spending the bread to do this.
