Default IS300 Kill at lunch time....

In case any of you don't know about Vegas asphalt, let me enlighten you...

Dry, it's about as slippery as California asphalt in the wet. Maybe a little more grip. Wet, it's more slippery than ICE, *ANYWHERE*. When it rains, be afraid.

Anyway, my A4 is just happy as a clam in Vegas, running rings (sorry, couldn't help myself) around the competition. On the 15 to 215 interchange, there is a *very* long banked sweeper that I can take at the limit at about 95-100 mph. Responsible? No. Fun? Hell yes. I think the actual speed limit is about 50 or so.

So anyway, I pass this IS300 doing about 80, and he gets annoyed and catches up and starts to pass me. So now I'm thinking "Oh, really?" so we both start to speed up a little. Now we're doing 90. We both head off into the interchange loop, and I'm wondering if this guy is gonna back out... nope. Turns out he has more ***** than brains. The interchange is mostly concrete, but there is a transition about 2/3 of the way around onto asphalt. This is where it gets scary.

I'm on the outside of the 2 lane interchange, and about a car length ahead. By now we're doing 100 or so, and my car is settled in the corner. As soon as that IS300 hit that asphalt, his rear end went into a HUGE slide, and he almost lost it. I was wondering what was going to happen. I was really surprised about the result though. I never thought it was going to be that bad.

He barely regained control, and slowed down to about 45 mph on the 215 after that. I don't think he's gonna try that again any time soon.

Oh yeah, and did I mention that this IS300 was heavily modified with suspension, exhaust, and a WING It acutally had some nice paint and a carbon (I think) hood.

He's gonna need a thorough detailing on his drivers seat. =)

Default This was my first true "cornering" related kill :)

I was really kinda worried that he might have collected me as well, but I was TOO FAR IN FRONT OF HIM! HAHHA. (like 3 carlengths at that point)
