Default Major problem, don't know what it is yet....

driving back from Publix about a 3 mile drive on a city road I started to notice a white smoke coming out of the back right side of my car. I was able to come to a stop at a red left turn light and noticed the smoke was definitely only coming out of the right side of my car and once at a stop the smoke kinda stopped (figured this one out later on). I get back in my car and decided I live 1/4 from the red light I'm gonna drive it back. Once in my car the CEL starts flashing and then goes solid, the RPMs are flipping from 800-900 and back. I start driving and the car isn't fighting me or rough (as it would be with a CP issue?) but it sounds terrible and feels kinda sluggish not that I would dare chance getting on the car at this point. Next up the oil light flashes and then goes solid.

I'm back, I park, I shut the car off immediately. Pop the hood and upon first glance I see oil everywhere. It is by the belts in the front and all over the outside of the filer. Next up I look under the car and see a pool of oil almost immediately. This leads me to believe the smoke was oil dripping and hitting the exhaust. That would explain why it died down once the car stopped moving.

That said I have a serious problem here. My friend is in class till 5 and then he is going to come over and check it out, but I'm freaking out here. He has a VAG-COM if necessary at his house.

Wonder if your oil cooler split... (does a 3.0 have one?)

Have you identified the source of the spill yet (sorry, question in wrong spot)?

Damn man! That sucks. Could it be that the oil filter was not tightened down properly?

Did they even have that on the 3.0?

Seeing that it's a 3.0, I doubt that it's a turbo issue (my non-professional opinion).
