Future of the Audi Cabriolet: no A4, no A5!

Call me crazy, but I never thought the A4 cab had much to do with the A4 sedan
I bet it's pretty much an entirely different chassis. From my eye, it looks much closer to the previous generation cab (90?) than to the A4 sedan. In my mind, this is not so much a change as a confirmation that the cab is just built on a different chassis.

I'm not thinking of B6 v. B7 - I know the differences there are just cosmetic
But compare the lines of a B6 or B7 cab to the A4, then to a 90 cab. The proportions of a B6/7 cab are just like a 90 cab, and very unlike the A4. None of the body panels seem similar. I know that B6/7s use lots of A4 hardware, like engines, brakes, etc, but I wonder if the chassis itself is from the old 90 cabs.
