Default looking at a 2004 A4 3.0 Cabrio..need price advice/check...

Riverside audi has a 2004 Audi A4 3.0 cabrio listed for $24.9k...can anyone give me some advice on this model, fair price, etc...

Here are the specs for that car:

16 INCH ALLOY WHEELS
6 CD CHANGER
AUDI CERTIFIED
COLD PACKAGE
HEATED SEATS
HOME LINK
MEMORY DRIVER SEAT
POWER TOP
PREMIUM PACKAGE
SYMPHONYAUDIO SYSTEM
XENON HEADLIGHTS

I live in Florida, and I was looking at an '04 1.8T cabrio which Champion has for $27.5k and they are not budging...it has:

lighting package
premium package

I checked the vehicle out and it's in prestine mechanial condition, minor little scratches here and there and small rock chips, but no other issues or accidents...

Price seems in line price wise for what edmunds.com has listed...which makes me wonder about Riverside's listing and vehicle condition, etc....

The v6 has 24k miles and the I4 has 29k miles...

Any advice/suggestions/comments are GREATLY appreciated.

Default check the NJ forum on advice about Riverside.

always research the car youself...call AoA with the VIN, check its history. Riverside knows nothing..they buy them from auctions.

yes, I did a little reasearch and do not see anything positive in my opinion...which makes me wonder...but that aside, are the prices in line or would you say they are way "underpriced"...questionaly underpriced...

left them an email and voicemail and have not heard back so that's another indication that maybe I should stay away from that place...

Default well...

It comes down to what you think you should pay.

They are out to make a profit...they are the largets volume CPO Audi dealer in the US. They make their money on the cars and the CPO service policy which is ok. But they don't really do the inspection process. Its all on the buyer...the problem is that the car needs to be inspected with a fine tooth comb.

I bought the 2004 A4 3.0 Cabrio you're refering to in Dec 2006.... Riverside never updated their website that it was sold....

I've been researching for 2months and this was a good deal. The car is perfect...but still you have to do your homework and some luck doesn't hurt as well....

Pretty funny eh?

I just bought a CPO A6 Avant from Riverside. Great price, torturous buying experience (put it this way, I STILL don;t have a title or registration 45 days later.) I do hear that their service dept is pretty good.

I've been trying to follow that advice, but can't seem to find the dealer (or phone number for AoA) to get that elusive service history.

Two service managers at two separate Audi dealerships have told me that it is private information (even if the car is not up for auction and owned by Audi's Leasing arm).

The 800 # people, while polite, went even further in claiming that I wouldn't be able to access those records even *after* I bought the car.

Is that what other people are experiencing? Is there a magic keyword I need to say in order to get such info?

Thanks!

Default yes you have to wave the carrot...

you walk into the dealer you will service the car at.

hey Joe...I need a favor. I'm looking at a private party used Audi and do you think you could check the service history on the national database? I have the VIN.

I'll be servicing it here, but I'd like to know as much as I can before I buy it.
