    They don't. It just simply isn't a direct currency conversion. Example inside.

    UK + VAT price + 5% compares very similarly to US prices without conversion.
    UK A5 3.2q tip is £39,745 when similarly equipped to a US A5 at $41,675. This is much closer than saying a £39,745 UK vehicle will cost $79,000 in the US.

    Therfore one can argue Drive Select will cost $1800 on a US A5 = £1700 UK+VAT price + 5%. However the US bundling of options allows them to offer different prices than the a-la-carte offerings in Europe. So we'll have to wait a couple more weeks to see.
