Albeit I never fully romped on it, but you can get the engine/trans to pull against the brake while holding the car.

But what they are seeing now is a new feature of the B8 tiptronic that disengages the transmission completely when stopped in "D". "Drive off clutch" I think it's called. I could see how that would completely elimate any possibility of brake-torquing.
