Hello people.

I've been a long time lurker on these forums and it's been a great resource of information. However, there are still answers and advice that I would like to seek. Hopefully you guys can help me.

Here's a little background information to start off, I will be a first time car buyer. I know that I want a 2009 A4 and the options/packages associated with it. I plan to pre-order the car so that it perfectly matches my desires and so I can get it as soon as possible. I've read first time buyer guides from websites like Edmund's and such, but have no prior experience at being at a dealership and actually doing negotiations.

Now for the questions:
1. What's the best approach to place an order? Is it as simple as going in and telling them what I want? Advice and suggestions?

2. How is negotiating a price on an order car different from buying on off the lot?

3. Is there a way to choose the best Audi dealership in an area? (I'm from the NYC area.)

4. Can you change dealerships for service, repairs, etc.? (From NYC, but work in the Albany area)
