I was wondering if those that ordered the car negotiated the purchase price already or if that is something that is tradionally done when the car arrives.
The reason that I ask is that a dealer changed one of there ordered cars for me and it should be on it's way shortly. I would like to get a competitive price between multiple dealers and want to avoid a situation in which one dealer has my car now and the others will have to order and I'll wait months. Is it normal to work out a purchase price ahead of time?
I was considering sending out emails to get quotes from all the local dealerships and then start the process from there. That way, if one dealership can do much better, I can get that car ordered now and have it in a few months.
Thoughts?
