But I thought there was an article indicating Audi would only bring to the US its most popular selling avant model the 2.0T Tip. Whether that was the journalists impressions or an Audi quote I'm not sure.

Unfortunately for the US enthusiast crowd I don't think you'll see any V6s, S4s, or manuals for the avant any time soon. This is simply year one of avant cutbacks. I would figure they have to stay this way a few years to determine if changes are needed again.
