Default So every Audi has interior motion sensors?? (more)

It seems my alarm's motion sensors don't work. I sat in the car, armed the alarm, and moved around one the alarm turned on. nothing happened.

Default they didn't go off because they're not motion sensors...

...they're pressure sensors.

Default No.. i have motion sensors in my car

Ive rolled down the windows and armed the alarm, and after 20-30 seconds, i waved my hands inside the cabin, and the alarm went off. My sales person showed me all about it. Its there..

Keep it real,

Default I'd like to test it by leaving the windows open, but I can't - (more)

I had an aftermarket system installed which rolls up windows and closes the sunroof when the alarm is armed. hmmm, guess I'll just have to figure out something else. Perhaps I'll spray an air can around the cabin when the alarm is armed. Ok, I'm going to go try it now

Ditto, If I leave my dog in the car with it armed, 30 secs and it goes off.

Doesn't it take 30 sec before it actually "sets"?

Default Yes, it takes 30 sec for both the aftermarket and factory alarm to set (more)

I have the aftermarket alarm system and factory alarm system working together. Thing is, when I use the remote to lock the car -- if the windows or sunroof are open, they close all the way automatically - I don't have to keep any buttons pressed. So what I did is actually sit in the car for 2 min (and it's freezing in NY by the way). After about 2 min, I started moving around, trying to set off the alarm - but it won't go off unless I open the door, or tap the glass (aftermarket alarm adds shock sensors). I guess the alarm should go off when I'm moving around in the car - but it doesn't.

Default IMHO, that is no good that the alarm automatically closes all your windows. I can think of 100

reasons why i leave my windows/sunroof open a crack on purpose, and it would drive me nuts to have it automatically shut.
