calculating that. It's clear that your opinion is that they suck. To say that you will crash or your car will not be supported properly because you're not running 205's on the car is preposterous.
Common sense seems to lean towards matching the conditions you see during the winter. For a lot of us that means we'll see snow and ice frequently over the course of the Thanksgiving-St. Patrick's Day, hell even Halloween to April Fool's Day. If the no-season tires work for your climate then use them, but don't tell me there's something wrong with running snow tires where I live. I could wear a spring jacket all winter long. I might only have spend minutes outside between buildings and the car. While I might be cold between those places it would still work, I guess. Common sense would tell me to prepare for the conditions properly. Buy a winter jacket. Having a warm winter jacket would be nice over the cold winter months even if there might be days that I sweat because it's too warm. Maybe I have to work a little bit harder to put my boots on or put my seatbelt on, but it's worth it when I'm out in the cold. I even get crazy and keep a hat and gloves with my warm winter jacket. While those might limit my dexterity for doing fine movements it's still worth it when I'm scraping the ice off of my windshield. The bottom line is, the guy can run the 195/65/15's on his car without a problem. They will be better in the snow than the 205's.
