DEPO 2-piece Black Projector Headlights + 4300k VVME HID Retrofit Kit
I recently installed a set of DEPO 2-piece projector headlights along with the 4300k HID conversion kit from VVME. It's only been a week and a half (installed March 7th) but, so far, I have had excellent results! $287 total and the lights look and function great!
You can see below how I mounted the ballasts on the dust cover, using screws/epoxy/zip ties, as well as their fitment within the headlight cavity. The connectors were wrong for the corner lights but the bulb housings were otherwise identical, so I just swapped the old bulb housings into the new corner light housings.
Before installation, both the headlights and the corner lights were completely sealed using silicon, so I shouldn't have a problem with moisture buildup inside the lights. The only downside I can see to this upgrade is that I lose my foglights in favor of city lights (which are controlled by the foglight button - I'll have to do the independent foglight mod to make them useful). One of the next upgrades I plan to do is to add foglights.
I haven't had the chance yet to get better photos of the headlights nor of the lights in action. I'll be able to get those this coming weekend.

I agree on both counts. Looks pretty good when contrasting the white.. otherwise i'd say SKIP!
but it appears to be a job well done. And more than likely there will be enough people who dislike them...

Still not my taste :(
i guess i've grown so accustomed to the valeo's i just won't accept anything less. I would like to see light output. I also don't like the fact they aren't one piece... But its working for ya hope you enjoy them.
Things to watch out for:
melting the housing + cutoff ... how clear is it, take some pics
enjoy

obviously valeo's are the hotness, but $$$$$! For a relatively cheap upgrade its not bad..
no its not the best, but impossible to find valeo ecodes AND Xenon hardware for < 300...

Re: I don't think it would look right on anything except a white car
I agree. I'm trying to go with a black/white combination on my car. I've also replaced the side turn signal lights with smoked ones (as you'll see next weekend when I am able to take better pictures of the car and lights).

I expected a response like this.. and you are right. It all depends on ones budget..
and say he wanted to upgrade lights and something else (chip, wheels etc) he could/can do two of one thing, or spend the big(ger) bucks and do one thing the best way. I, like you, prefer the second of the two,(although I can not always afford to (yet I do anyways..)) but obviously some people prefer the cheaper DIY project... which you did approve of while pointing out its not the best way..
