I just traded my stock M box for a chipped CH ECU. I don't think it works the other way around tho.

Yes. I traded my CH for an APR chipped M box 4+ years ago. '01 1.8TQM.

worked when I swapped several yrs ago w/ a friend of mine. CH > M and vice versa.

Default What I've found...
-You can run an M box ECU in a car that came with CH
-You can run a CH box ECU in a car that came with M
-You can run a CH chip in an M box ECU

-I was NOT able to run a M chip in a CH box ECU (limp mode)

Default so you are telling me a CH ECU will work fine in my 2001 A4?
I am looking to pick up a spare (non modded) ECU and I currently have an M ECU.
