Default KMAC suspension

Has anyone used their adjustable control arm bushing kit for the B5 a4?

I recently purchase a set that was unused at a nice discount.

I plan on using these to get my camber back dialed back in.

I'm really tired of chopping my front tires up.

Default I've been using them for a couple years. They work. There are some things to be weary about though..

I ran into a problem with the bushings not fitting into my control arms. They fit into the stock control arms but the aftermarket arms that I got did not have the same bore as the the stock ones. So the K-Mac bushings were loose. I had to get some OEM ones from the junk yard to use with the K-Macs.

I also ran into problems actually finding places to do an alignment for me. I had to walk one guy through it to get the adjustments right. Once they're set, they're fine though. My tires are lasting over a year now.

If I had it to do all over again, I would have just gotten some adjustable control arms from Suprem Power Parts or something. The K-Macs work but I still have to replace control arms that go bad and go through that all over again. I've got one making noise now, I'm just not sure if if it's an upper or lower arm. (think it's lower though) I would love to just have some good adjustable arms installed and forget about them. (assuming that the SPP arms are good quality)

So all in all, it's a good budget minded solution to the problem of preworn front tires. Just make sure you have OEM control arms before you start and you won't have half the troupbles I had.

Default Mine were kind of a pain to install also

They didn't fit well in the factory arms and I had to grind out the inside of the old bushing location to get them in.

They can make a creeking noise if they aren't lubed.

I did not have problems with the alignment. But I took mine to a place that works on nothing but imports (they had porsche and ferarri in the lot).

I think I also would have gone with the CPP links if I could do it over.

k-mac+new control arms = CPP adjustable arms
