If you have clunking coming from your front suspension you may want to check this out...

I was still getting some nasty clunking coming from one side of my front suspension even after replacing all 8 front control arms. Last week I pulled it apart and found that the upper strut mount nut was not tight, and this allowed the upper strut mount to become worn down from the movement of the piston shaft. Here is a pic of the mount next to the new one.
If you need to replace this part DO NOT ORDER IT FROM THE DEALER. I received two mounts for $18.46 shipped to my door from EuroPartsDepot.com. The dealer's quote was $80+ WITH my discount. 8-O

http://www.europartsdirect.com</a

What kind of clunking? I hear something similar in one of my front tires after...
....I hit a bump at a certain speed. Is it all the time or intermittent (only certain speeds/slower/pulling out of driveways/etc). Let me know because I want to check this out. Is it hard to change? Do you change just the mount or the whole assembly?

It should be pretty obvious when you're driving...
like it's coming from behind the dash. If the clunk doesn't sound like it's coming from behind the dash, it's probably one of your control arms (or something else). Furthermore, if you haven't changed your front suspension, odds are this is not the source of the clunk. If you have changed your front suspension (springs and/or shocks), then it's possible that the installer didn't torque the nut in question properly...and that this has resulted.
