Saw it for the S4, but could this fit a 1.8T
FMIC are illegal in NY, so this might be a better option

it screws with D.O.T. on the structural bumper saftey or something like that.
pretty much what that means is that audi didn't test it with a FMIC and therefore it shouldn't have one, in the event of a crash the FMIC most likely will weaken the bumper structure causing more damange...
also in cali it screws with c.a.r.b.

so the state can do what?
the state's supposed to enforce DOT(department of transportation) regulations and when the FMIC is thrown into the equation it screws everything up.
Audi spends thousands or millions of dollars crashing each model of their cars to prove to DOT that they are road worthy, the DOT has specifications where audi needs to meet. This is why altough u could buy a Mclaren F1 for about $800k, to make it road legal in the US you would have to go through ameritech and the price jumps to about $1.1 million, and why you could buy a R34 skyline for about $40k in japan or australia, but the price more then doubles to $80k in the US through motorex. Ameritech and Motorex has payed DOT and proven that their cars meet the standards, therefore those cars are now street legal.
By tossing in a FMIC on our cars w/o proving it to DOT is like importing a skyline from japan to here and trying to drive it like a normal car. It's a stupid rule, but it keeps thousands of people employed.
CARB is only in california and hawaii i believe, it's also the reason why some cars have 2 cats instead of one. the car can only put out so many pollutents and the FMIC will screw with that figure (also BOV, and things like the HKS vein pressure controller which elimates the MAF meter and all it's functions)
