Rating difficulty on a scale of 1 to 10 this is a 2.
See Peter Harren's one touch up rear window tech write up and follow step 1. Then do what is indicated in the picture above. Re-assemble.
Push down and hold window button for 10 seconds then pull up and hold for 10 seconds to let the window controller re-learn the one touch operation.
Enjoy.
This has been tested on a 98 and an 00 but of course YMMV. Small needle nosed pliers are handy for wrapping the pins.
One difference between the fronts and rears now is that with the key off the rears are still one-touch but the fronts are not.
Anyone know if this is just a design quirk or if there is a good reason to disable the one-touch feature if the key is out but the operator is still in the car? I couldn't think of one.
