Default I'm hoping the fuel filter will help my top end too.

I was like a bat out of hell off the line, but died up top. Do you think your 2.8 tranny helps you stay in your powerband longer on your runs?

Default You'll like this. I asked my dealer to quote me on changing the fuel filter while they had the car

to do a Motorvac clean. Flat rate is 6.5 hours! I bought a filter and dropped off a copy of Mike Staley's how to posted here

Default 'staying in powerband longer' & 'helps' is kinda contradicting =)

we want to get out of the power band asap and i guess both our setups will still be kicking strong past 6800, its just the rev limiter thats going to stop you.
staying in 3rd gear (2.8 tranny) has its advantage but we can easily reach the max mph of 3rd gear and no more improvement after that. the issue now is that i have less distance to run on 4th since the lower gears traveled longer. figuring out the shift points in a 1.8 tranny may have a better future. just my 0.02

Default yeah, I got the 'red' ones, earlier version 2000psi but I didnt bother to prep my

OE flywheel which i think is not doing me good. i also abuse the clutch in autox when I'm out of the boost'd zone =(

Default yup, that new race clutch was something, i was way over my head on that one and have to backout

i dont think the car's system can take that much line pressure - also my calves can only do so much =) i'll just charge this to experience.
hey, thanks for the super quick response to my shreeks, the new normal-person, weekend racer pressure plate should be here by tomorrow and hopefully my mechs have pulled the FW for resurfacing.
