EVERYONE PLEASE READ! SCAM ARTIST AROUND HERE:
hey everyone,
i don't know if information about this guy has been posted already because i haven't been reading the forum in a couple of weeks but everyone needs to know this.
about a week and a half ago i was trying to sell my 15 inch audi wheels, and i saw someone on teh forum post that they were looking for some wheels. so i emailed him, and he emailed me back and wanted them. anyways, long story short, he tried to get me to ship him the wheels and told me he would mail me a certified check. he told me he had no access to a credit card because i suggested paypal. he sounded a little fishy from teh beginning so i told him i would only ship the wheels after receiving payment.
so i emailed him my address on the 25th, then on the 26th (in the early morning!) he emails me saying, "you haven't received the check yet?". how could i have when i just sent him my address the night before? anyways, the whole thing sounded shady, but i gave him the benefit of the doubt. he called me once again saying the post office told him the check had arrived at my place, but i never got anything.
anyways, i'm digressing, if anyone wants to know all the boring details i'll tell them. but basically, i think this guy tries to get people to send him stuff and tells them he's sending payment but then he never does. and he's in toronto so he prolly figures no one will go find him. so please, no one send him anything! he is a liar, and won't return my phone calls or emails anymore.
i forgot what his screenname is but his email adress is:

oh, if his check comes tomorrow and he calls me back and straightens the whole thing out i will retract this. however, i really doubt this, since i have been trying to call him at all hours of the day, and left many many messages, and sent many emails.

If you do a search on his email address, 3 threads come up...

Yeah, I saw that too...we need a blacklist forum...
my buddy got ripped off (face-to-face) with some a$$hole that did a trade for his Borla Exhaust for my friend's APR ECU. He basically trusted the guy since they shaked hands and said that he'd get back in touch.
My friend tried emailing and leaving voicemails a few weeks after to try and get the exhaust but that f%^er never responded or replied. He supposedly lives near Fort Lee, NJ.

Glad to hear you were one step ahead of him...
I've heard too many stories (not here particularly) where folks were not smart enought to get payment in hand before sending off the merchandise. They get screwed out of the money somehow, bad check, or no payment at all, then get upset about it.
I'll keep my eye out for this one in the future.
