Default Glove Box Noise

I've noticed a LOUD noise from the glove compartment. Its like there is a vibrator on in the glove compartment door. sometimes it keeps you from being able to open or unlock the glove compartment, sometimes not. anyone seen or heard of this?? Only way to make it stop is to disconect the battery

The glove compartment lock and unlocks with the doors. My guess is that the servo that locks and unlocks the glove compartment is bad. When it is making the noise sit in the car and lock the doors. If the noise happens to change or stop you will have at least narrowed it down.

The noise is constant. sometimes when I manually lock it, the noise stops. but sometimes not. it will continue constantly until I disconect the battery. then resumes when I reconnect. the car has a TON of electrical problems. windows don't go down, AC turns on and off, and a TON more. I found the cabrio top leaks around the rear window. I wonder if it is something as simple as something being wet. because the drivers side rear seat floor is soaked. I think the water is running down behind the drivers side rear side pannel where the speaker is mounted.

Default i have it replaced under warranty.

I have the same problem like yours a couple of weeks ago. the agent told it i hold too many heavy stuff inside and broke the joint which i told him off. Its only a street directory and a couple of parking coupouds. anyway, a brand new glove box was replaced for me eventually.

I have it at the dealer and they looked at it. turns out there was a storm, and water came in through my rear window the window on the cab top which shorted out the CCM. They want to charge me $1000 for the CCM, and they also said to fix the leak in the window I need a whole new top. total all said and done, top and CCM... $5,000 I only had this stinkin car for a month. its used so no warrenty. Oh, I've heard bad stuff about the trans in these cars... should that be a true consern??

I wasn't sure about the rain damage thing. I did turn in a claim with my insurance to see if they would cover the damage, they gave me a claim number, and the adjuster is going to look at it today I guess. So I guess if he decides to cover it I'm good to go. If not... I have no idea... maybe figure out where to buy a CCM and do it myself.

As for the warrenty, My car actually has 62k miles on it. the dealer I got it from gave me 3 months 3k miles warrenty, but that expired 2 weeks ago.

Do you know about the transmissions? Are there really problems with them, or is that just a load of poopie.
