Default Should I wait for Season Of Audi to expire?

I'm interested in a 2017 A4, Prestige trim and I'll probably pay cash. If I decide to finance I can get 1.8% through a credit union.

The Season of Audi sales event seems to relate to certain Ultra/Premium trim lines (not Prestige) and they will pay the first months of finance (if you finance through Audi - and I assume it would be at a higher interest rate than 1.8%).

These inducements don't seem to apply to me, so would I be better off waiting for Season of Audi to expire and maybe they will be offering some other inducements in a few weeks?

I think the first months finance payment does apply to the prestige, so if that's all you want them go for it (by tomorrow night).

First month payment applies to all cars (as long as you go with Audi finance). But. Their interest rates are high (around 2.x or 3.x, I forgot). Do the math and see which is cheaper on the long run.

When my wife picked up her A3 2 weeks ago, she went in pre-approved from our credit union. She applied for Audi Finance anyway, and with excellent credit the Audi finance rate was 2.99%. I doubt that rate has changed in 2 weeks, but it may have.

Side note: our credit union would re-finance it as new, so long as the age and mileage meets a certain criteria. Also, just for re-financing, they'd give us $200. You might check to see if that's available for you. Then you could finance through Audi for 2 months (I think that's the minimum), then re-fi at your credit union (or pay it off or what have you) and essentially put $800 back in your pocket - on top of the best deal you make on the sale.

You are likely to get the largest dealer discount tomorrow. It is the last day of the year for Audi sales.

I ordered my car before the Season of Audi deal started and will get it after the deal expires - feels wrong somehow. Also with a bunch of cars with a sales hold on them and at least a few waiting for a transmission replacement I wonder if the Season of Audi promotion has actually had the chance it was originally intended.

A lot of useful feedback here.

BTW what is a 'sales hold'?

There are 4 Audi dealerships in my area, DFW. So I plan to review the inventory of each and visit the dealership with the best match with the packages I want. This way I hope to avoid a multi month factory order.

I have worked with Audi Dallas on my last 3 cars... '11 S5 Cab, '15 S5 Coupe and '17 A4. I have a great salesman who even helps me with service. If you want his name I will send you a PM.

It seems to mean that if a car hasn't made it to the dealership yet that it will be held at the port until the hold is lifted, but no explanation as to how long the hold will last or what is the reason for the hold. My factory order is built and supposed to be leaving the German port of Emden within a few days, but the order has a sales hold on it so unless that hold is lifted the time it'll take for me to get my car is more than the physical process of getting it here.
