Default B9 A4 Quattro break squeal

Hello,
I have a 2018 A4 Quattro with 23k miles, bought the car about 5 months ago CPO with only 17k miles on it, and in the past month my front drivers side break has been squealing when I hit the breaks, typically if I feather the break it wont squeal, but under normal breaking it will squeal every single time. Break pads look like they have about %50 life, rotors about the same. Checked for marks of possibly a pebble or something stuck in between pad and rotor but don't see anything. Is it possible the rotor is warped and that is what is causing the squeal? Also has anyone had issue like this? Seeing I bought it CPO is this something that should be covered under warranty, only had the car 5 months and put 6k miles on it so far. Any insight and help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks,

Have the same issue with my 2017 A4 Quattro. Dealer said it was typical and is within "specs". They would not replace it.

It could just be slightly glazed rotors/pads - find a safe area of open highway with no traffic and try 3 or 4 much harder than normal braking applications (65mph down to say 20 mph) and see if that gets rid of the noise.

If rotors are warped, you typically feel vibrations while braking. Unlikely CPO would directly cover brake squeal as the standard response is likely brakes are a normal wear item. What I would do though, is take to the dealer and try to get a technician to do a 15 min drive with you and let him hear the extent of the squealing and give you some quick opinions/possible solutions.

My brakes make noise when it's cold. I've looked around and seems to be "normal" behavior (because of the compound?).

Thanks all, CEO of the company I work for has a 2020 Porsche Cayenne GTS and his breaks do the same thing which is really annoying when you spend that type of money, he went to dealer and they said it was normal. so I am just going to assume its also normal on the A4, I guess its time to upgrade the breaks because honestly not only is it embarrassing, but it annoys me to hear the squealing even time I hit the breaks.

It's normal for carbon ceramic brakes to make noise.

Thanks,
Remove the brake pads and lubricate the required areas on the rear of the pad and the caliper. Reinstall and if the pads still squeal then replace pads and resurface or replace the rotor.

"brakes"

It's more likely for you to squeal if your car breaks on a regular basis.
