With the exception of the B6 to B7 update, every A4 since the original B5 has been significantly different than the previous generation. This "B10" looks way too much like the B9, imho. The only big change is the smaller grille. But the headlight shape, doors and rear look basically the same. What a disappointment; I was really hoping that the new B10 would take some styling cues from the 2022 A3. At least it doesn't have fake exhaust tips ... so far.

I'll wait to see it before making a decision. I think it may be good-looking. If the picture is accurate, it looks like they may have abandoned the horrible "eyelash" headlights and the flanks are better integrated than the current B9.5, which seem to just disappear into the sheet metal. Hopefully they will better integrate the touchscreen into the dash rather than continuing the B9.5 abomination.

I would not focus on the lights at all. It looks like both front and rear lights are added on and not the actual lights. Additionally, you can see the outline of the actual rear lights.

if you look closely at all the photos there is one that clearly shows the passenger holding a clipboard next to a dashboard with no touch screen protruding above it.

I just hope they don’t go and ditch the analog controls for climate / the full dual screens in the A6 look great but are not driver friendly to use, even if the haptics and latency are good.

Rear lights are certainly round cutout to the camouflage covering the actual lights.. Fronts are covered but you can see the shape of the outline through the camo.

I don't have, and am not very familiar with, the wagon shape, so it's hard to interpret much. Someone needs to replace the camo with solid/shaded coloring to get a real look.

I think that the MMI screen will still be a stick-on affair. If you look at this photo, there is a piece of white paper draped over where the MMI would be. If that paper was stuck on the windshield, it would be flat.

The B6 to B7 wasn't really a change, but more heavy a facelift to incorporate the then-new single frame grille and new design language. Remember that B# is just a colloquial term and not the internal chassis identifier. The B6 and B7 both share the same chassis - 8E (or 8H in the case of the convertible).

There are some significant changes to the B10 in comparison to the B9. I think it will look quite a bit different.

Unfortunately I think screens are cheaper to implement (at least before the chip shortage). Maybe the 2023 A3's HVAC controls will make their way to the B10. That control unit is a new design and looks to only be shared between the 8Y A3 and new Q4 E-tron, so the ROI could benefit from using it in another model. Use of the dual screen is probably determined by space limitations - easier to incorporate in larger interiors.

I am guessing the B10 interior will draw similarities to the Q4 E-tron. Mostly I'm just hoping for the button HVAC.
