My driver seat upper is in rough condition. I need a new seat frame but it's $1000 in parts alone that I'd rather not spend rn. I was wondering if I could take the top half of the passenger seat and put it on the driver seat and vise vera.

The part numbers are slightly difference, but based of the images they look identical. Does anyone know if they are interchangeable and If I'd be able to swap the two front seat uppers?

Is there an airbag in the upper portion of the seat ?

If there is, it would be on the opposite side on the passenger seat…

045 / 046 is the backrest frame alone (unpowered seats); 515 / 516 is the frame with the recline motor (power seats). The L/R difference will be either the cog interface for the manual recline, or the motor for the power recline, which side it's on.
