Ah and last and final question. Whats your guys' experience with chipping A4s? I am going to search the forum but I haven't found anything on chipping the newer ones...
My cousin who I pretty much trust on cars says I will be essentially buying a new turobcharger or engine if I do this...true or not? And that it would kill the life by 1/2??
Because I would def look into chipping the A4 and prob changing the exhaust and the manifold

Audi is having very good sale and if you are not in hurry, order the one exactly equipped. Dealer will give you the best discount because ordering a new one will not affect inventory in the parking lot that they gonna to make a profit.

If it were me, I'd either order a new Premium Plus with quattro and the sport package (which I did) or go for the used 2012 S4, assuming it checks out well and there are no question marks. I had a similar reaction as you did when I initially test drove the standard A4, but the sport package made a significant difference in the feel.

I have been driving BMWs for over 35 years. I just bought an A4Quattro Premium Plus with a 6 speed manual and the Sport Package. No, it does not drive like a BMW but I still like they way it handles. The interior is fantastic, the sports seats are great and with the sport suspension and 6 speed manual tranny it is a lot of fun to drive. This is the only A4 I would buy. I was able to buy it for $250 under invoice as calculated by Edmunds.
I still have a Z4 to drive on the weekends as the A4 is my daily driver. Good luck with your search.

if you are looking at buying a car and want barebones to get rock bottom pricing to make it affordable, chances are you're looking at the wrong car
stick with the A4, don't get an S4

Agree. I also think the depreciation is pretty bad on the S4 as it has limited appeal as a used car.

I think I will be choosing between a NEW 2013 A4 and a USED 2012 S4. I am leaning towards the A4 though...
Its a quattro premium plus with 157 miles (essentially a tester) with NAV at 36k. I'm thinking I could probably get it for 30-32k (I am in no hurry to buy a car).
Is the quattro worth it? Because it seems like I am either choosing between a Premium + with Sports or a Quattro Premium Plus w/o.
Otherwise I might consider the 12 Premium + S4 w/ NAV, B&O, Sports diff, and Carbon inlays...on autotrader for 44.9k but we could get it at 42.6k and this is with the extended warranty.

OP,
the 2.0T is still a very nice car. If you're interested in BMW's, I just saw that they're now selling a 320-xi, which is a turbocharged 2.0L. It's $4000 cheaper than the 328-xi. That might be of interest to you, because it makes the BMW much more price competitive.
I have a 2009 A4 2.0T with Quattro and I love it. Next time around though, I'm going to skip the in car navigation. It's expensive, and slow, and it bothers me when it get's confused between tall buildings.
