B6/B7 Avants only had rear door speakers and a sub on the left side in the trunk behind the trim

Default just checked and
there are only door speaker, nothing else.

for me its nothing new. subaru's have all of their speakers within the doors, even the STI.

So the B6/B7's did without 2 speakers (or 4, if they had component/separate tweets back there too)?

Default Yeah, but we're still getting shafted. The sedans have speakers in rear doors + rear shelf!, right?
That has to affect the overall sound reproduction. If Audi (or B&O) tuned the 14-speaker system for the sedan, do you think Audi tuned the Avant any differently? I doubt it, and thus wonder if the Avant stereos will lose some sound imaging.

Every US Avant pic I've seen, including the brochure, does not have the alum sliding tracks.

Default there is a possibility the B&O comes with D-pillar speakers
but i wouldn't know because i have a premium+
