Question for Brilliant Black Owners
Do you regret going with brilliant black in any way? I'm trying to figure out what color I want and strongly leaning towards brilliant black. It's obv toughest to keep clean, but I'm curious to hear feedback from owners.

Looks great when clean, which is what you will be doing every week by hand, sigh...

Don't do it. I was in the same position as you and purchased BB and now it's so dirty. You can see every dry water mark, every scratch and every piece of dirt. But it's black an looks really good when clean.

I own a brilliant black. even tho it looks amazing when clean as other said. If you do not want to take ALOT of your time cleaning and polishing and waxing often then your way better off with another choice of color. If i had the chance to turn in my BB color for another i would. Its a hassle all the time.

I agree - I was in a tight spot when it came time to take delivery of my S4 so I got stuck with a BB A4.
I wish it was Ibis, Ice Silver, or since I got an SLine, Monza Silver.

If you love the color, get it.
I do love Brilliant Black, have owned it and would, gladly, own it again.
Yes, it's much harder to keep really clean looking than lighter colors. But clean is clean regardless of color.
If you need your car to look really clean from less than a few feet away the overwhelming majority of the time, BB will take a concerted and consistant effort so it's not the best choice if you are both **** and lazy.
If you are not both **** and lazy, and love the color, BB is worth it.
*In the interest of full disclosure: I am both **** and lazy yet still love BB. Most of the time I bitched up a storm while doing the work, only to fall in love again the second I stepped away. The rest of the time, I simply loathed myself for being a lazy bum.
I now have Brilliant Red and nothing has changed.

Swirl marks FTL!
Like above poster said- looks great when clean, but so hard to keep that way. However, the HUGE upside is that it's one of the easier colors to work with as far as upgrades and whatnot...

I am on my third BB A4 (had a black Passat before that) and this one (2010) seems worse with the dirt than the others. That plus I got some gnarly bird poop that ruined the finish.
I would probably have gone with the gray if I had to do over this time.
