New 2012 Avant w 2K drive, break in suggestions?
Will be picking up our Avant in late November and will be traveling to Fla shortly thereafter. What suggestions anyone have for the break-in period.

I'm in the same boat. i just picked up my 2012 avant. I searched around for advice on the break in period and asked a couple tuners. Half said drive it as you normally would as the engine is properly broken in on the dyno at the factory; the other half said keep it under 4k rpms for 1000 miles.
I'm keeping it under 4k rpms for the most part which is pretty easy when you have 8 gears to go through.

I think this is a good strategy. Just make sure the engine doesn't sound like it's lugging - - leaving it in sport mode some of the time, that keeps the revs up.
Do excercise the motor, don't baby it. There is some evidence that a soft break-in leads to ring seating issues and on-going oil consumption with the 4 cyl motor.
