Good lord! That's a serious gain for an intercooler. All this development is going to pay dividends when the A5 2.0T comes out. Between exhaust, intercooler and chip that's some serious power out of the new 2.0T! I'm looking forward to seeing some dyno numbers once you get the car fully tuned.
Only 17 more months till I'm in a B8 A5 or A4. Blah I can't wait.

I actually kind of like the front of the car the way it's shown. I think I'll take off the front of my car and throw on a big 'ol grill guard. I wonder if this bad boy will fit.

At wheels: 245 HP, 263 Ft/Lbs with FMIC, Exhaust, ECU
The dyno is up there on AWE's site:

Unless you were referring to the coming A5 2.0T, the A4 B8 2.0T setup is "fully tuned". Unless GIAC manages to do some more software tuning, this will just have to do. Trust me, it's a freakin' monster.
Anyone in the NYC area who is interested in the AWE exhaust and/or FMIC is welcome to experience it in person. Drop me a PM.

In reality, it's a lot less obvious than this photo would suggest.
I'm pretty sure someone on one of the B7 forums had his AWE intercooler anodized black by a third party. In my brief conversation with AWE about the issue I was told that they don't recommend this as it could hurt the intercooler's effectiveness. Once I saw the car, it was clear to me that the color isn't an issue on the B8. It's just not obvious back there.

These are huge numbers just for an intercooler!!
Many UK insurera wouldn't even increase the premium for this as they don't for increased cooling or braking components.
I am a little concerned about what's behind the FMIC i.e. what is it blocking air flow to?

I'm being lazy here, i'm not asking google... I've always thought the intercooler is like a 2nd radiator, but for the air before it hits the turbo. (to cool it... cooler air == more gas in the mix == more boom == more POOOOWA!) Hence it doesn't "block" the radiator in the back, it lets air pass through then hit the radiator. (the the rad lets the air go past IT and hit the engine...) right?!
