If you had to downgrade from Audi, what would you get?

If I need to downgrade its to save money, right? OK.
So, Ford Focus for A3 downgrade and Fusion for A4 downgrade. Downside- Ford dealers scare me, and the dashboard thing reminds me of Microsoft.
Mazda 6 or new 3. I will actually try a Mazda 6 diesel in a few months.
BRZ would make sense to slot in where TT sits in garage (my imaginary garage)
For stepping down from anything A5 and up, and you need interior space, maybe give up and just get a panther.
Audi take note, I am not even thinking of VW badged VAG products here in the USA. And I grew up with them. Fix the VW dealer experience please.

If I may, I would like to change the thread to "if I had to UPGRADE from Audi" what would I get.....and the answer is my 2011 German built Buick Regal Turbo, which I picked up yesterday at the same time I said goodbye to my 2009 A4 which managed to blow its catalytic converter on the very day I was trading it in.....capping a year and a half of one problem after another until I could no longer stand it. My 2008 A4 was so bad I kept it only 3 months....the '09 made it 18 months but nothing was ever quite right.
If you are ever looking for a very nice sedan at considerably less money and operating cost, look at the Buick Regal. The only thing lacking on mine is AWD but the '14's have that as well. The car is an Opel Insignia which was European Car of the Year in 2011.....and it drives like it.
So I will say goodbye to these Audi Forums.....as I believe I have owned my last one.

I've thought about this. If I retire early and can no longer afford the prices of Audi, which are continuing to go up
For Sports Coupe/Car:
I would trade in my Audi S5 ($60K) for Subaru BRZ ($26K) or a slightly used Nissan 370z ($28K) or slightly used BMW 128i ($26K). And for really cheap, the new Mazda 3 hatchback.
For Sedan:
I would trade an Audi A4 ($40K) for a Toyota Camry ($22K) or a Honda Accord ($22K)
Or a slightly used Infiniti G car ($26K)
For Wagons/SUVs:
For a loaded Audi Q5 ($45000) and Audi Allroad ($49000), I would trade to Mazda CX7, Nissan Pathfinder, Toyota Highlander, Acura RDX.

I "upgrade" from an 2011 A4 to a 2013 Sonata. Did a straight trade (paid only tax and license) and have been glad not dealing with the oil consumption problem and other issues. Enjoying saving on insurance, gas, the 100k warranty, and piece of mind. The Sonata 2.0 turbo has 274 hp stock, no need to tune or tweak.
