Hate to burst the bubble on this, but do you have any idea how long it takes our cars to warm up at idle versus driving away immediately? You should read your owners manual regarding cold starts and idling. The damage you will do to your engine etc.?

I dont know if this helps or not. If you
hit the CAR button on your console, you can scroll down to CENTRAL LOCKING.
Then scroll down to UNLOCKING SINGLE DOOR.
Switch to the OFF position & that might solve your unlocking one or all door issues.


To the OP.
I have done a bunch of research on remote starters & I would RUN from the "dinosaur" you have been talking to about installing your remote.
Even the Audi dealers in my area will not install a remote on my 2010 because of the complicated nature of the vehicle & its electronics. If your guy is a "dinosaur" you will be very unhappy with the results & even he wont know how many things he screws up until its way too late.
