Audi A4 Auto Lease Rates - March 2009
#11
I don't see ANY vehicle's 3 year old wholesale value "tracking up" any time soon.
Which is why I will only ever buy "lightly" used anymore.
I've always wanted the latest and greatest thing. I've usually overspent to get it. But I won't be doing that anymore.
I researched long and hard before I bought my "lightly" used '09 A4. I saved about 14K off of MSRP and for the price I paid, I could have bought a lightly used loaded '08 A6 3.2 or a lightly used '06 A8 from the same wholesaler.
That's where the value is.

wow, 11-12% lower 36-mo residual for Prestige compared to BMW 328/335 ...
... and that's before any penalty on Audi for S-line or sport package. You really have to not care about lease payments to go with Audi.

to be honest, the lease deal differences are not that substantial b/w an A4 2.0 and a BMW 328i...
i built a 2.0 prestige Sline and built the comparable 328 as close as friggin possible to the 2.0...and taking everything into account, the monthly payments come out much closer than i had anticipated after hearing all the ruckus about audi's horrendous lease rates at the moment.
the grain of salt, though: i'm factoring in the $750 audi loyalty bonus and a 10+ year relationship with a dealer...
for a 36/12k mi, i was quoted roughly the same residual posted in this thread, but a MF of .00071. yes, bmw's residuals are substantially higher, but they get you on the MF (.00185) of nearly 2.5 times that of what audi is quoting...

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe it's a $1500 bonus towards the financing of a new audi...and $750 towards the lease of a new audi...
...so long as you are currently associated with any model audi -- 2004 or later -- through audi financial...
