Sweep his comments under the rug. He's just jealous . True, both cars may share some of the same parts since they are part of the VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group). Audi is more refined IMO.

Audi is a subsidiary of VW, but "VAG" isn't the acronynm for "Volkswagen Audi Group":

They may share certain parts, this is to keep costs of vehicles low to the customer like you, and why spend money developing something new when you can build on something you already have to make it better right?

Nearly EVERY automaker has a premium division...

Ford and Lincoln
Nissan and Infiniti
Honda and Acura
Toyota and Lexus

etc. etc. This all being said, even though Audi is owned under VAG, they have different teams of designers, quality assurance, etc. It's a different scope of vehicles after all, right?

I stand corrected, but Wiki does mention Volkswagen Group was previously known as VAG. It doesn't change the point I was trying to make that both cars are made by the same company.

Thanks for updating the Old Dog .

Yeah, and all cars are glorified horse carriages - have 4 wheels, take you from point A to point B...That gentlemen is either jealous or can't tell his a*s from a hole in the ground. Either way, you should disregard the opinions of such people.

Dont forget Chrysler/ Benz/ Maybach.

I live in Korea (moving back in 45 days) and here the Kia's and Hyundai have interchangable parts. Went to get my Marcia radio checked and the guy took a radio out of a Kia and used it as a replacement.... i was like WTH
