Anyone else noticing that their jeans are leaving color on the seats?
I have the beige sport seats and noticed this evening that the driver's seat appeared a bit darker than the passegner seat. A quick wipe with a water moistened paper towel confirmed it - there's blue color on the leather. I think most of it came off, but the car's only 2 months old so I'm not very happy. My jeans aren't that new (been washed a few times), and they weren't rain soaked or damp, so I'm surprised by this. Is there something I should put on the seat leather to help combat this? Maybe you're only supposed to wear light-colored dress slacks in this car. lol

That's a common problem with light coloured leather, the detailing forum might have suggestions
for some good products to use to clean your seats and keep them looking good!
I always wear jeans and have always had this problem, but that is pretty quick to discolour the seats.
I've noticed the beginning of cracking on my seats though..I'll probably go searching for some stuff to combat it when I have time lol

I know you said that they aren't new, but it seems like more of an issue with the jeans to me.
They're probably depositing dye pretty much everywhere you sit, you just notice it more on the light colored seats...

Lucky you
funny thing -- I noticed the same thing (on my X3). It only happens when I wear my newer jeans which are Lucky Brand. My very old Levi's dont do it. Whatever -- I just do a light clean up with Leatherique and the seat looks great. I think its the jeans.

Look at a product called Leatherique...
...it was specifically developed to restore seats and works great. A pain in the neck to use and time consuming but the results are worth it...

Guess I can continue to wear pants when I drive! :-)
Thanks to all for the suggestions on products to remove the dye stains from the leather. Yes it will be a pain, but at least I feel better knowing that I can get most, if not all, the blue color off the seat.
