Default Any OEM/aftermarket options for silver plastic around gauge cluster/MMI screen?

I have yet to see anything offered on the B8 A4 (or C6 A6 for that matter) as replacement for the painted plastic piece on the dash. I can think of a number of materials which would look better than the cheap stock piece: genuine aluminum, black piano, carbon fiber, and matching wood trim, just off the top of my head.

Has anyone come across OEM or aftermarket solutions?

BTW, I'm glad Audi came to their senses in this area when it came time for the Q5 interior.

Default Wood trim

I recently purchased a 06 A6 and they trim around the mmi was killing me!! it looks too plain, luckily I know a very good trim kit guy in brooklyn he actually didn't have the template for my vehicle so used mine as a guinea pig, I chose to try to match the wood trim already in the vehicle he says he has the kit ready for me but my vehicle is at the dealer hopefully I can have it installed by this weekend and can post pics for you.

Default Bump! Where are the aftermaret options?!

The plastic trim is god awful and doesn't belong in a car that could cost nearly $60k, let alone an Audi!

I wish. At the very minimum I would like to remove it and paint it matte black. That would be fine for me. I am sure eventually someone would make a new piece for it but I guess we have to wait.

Agreed...it is the worst part of an otherwise awesome interior.

Here's a thread on AZ about doing all of the interior trim pieces in Carbon Fiber:

OSIR has already released their "D-Trim" gauge cluster accent pieces, and the product pics hint that OSIR is also working on a CF piece to replace the silver plastic:
