A4 June US sales down by 27.1%
#11
I think the reason A4 sales have slowed down has something to do with the lousy lease residuals. The only trim level that has somewhat decent residual is the Premium. If you want a Prestige S-line, your only viable option is a purchase and not that many people want to make purchase payments on a $45-50K car.

If they have similar lease rates next month, I may go take one for a spin. I like the looks of the C-Class, but something about it irks me as far as driving an MB at 26. *shrug* I used to have a G37 and I live in MN, so the A4's All wheel drive makes sense. I got around fine in my G with winter rims and tires, but it's sort of a pain.

B8 looks an advancement over B7
The B8 looks much more refined, sophisticated and luxurious than a B7. The B7 is just a minor cosmetic makeover of a B6.
After driving my B6 for many years, I was ready to buy a new Audi. I was very disappointed when the B7 came out. On the outside, only a few changes; on the inside, identical to my B6. I held out and waited for the B8 to come out, and I'm glad I did.
Although I never owned a B7, I've driven many as loaners from my dealership, and the B8 excels in almost every category.
(The above commentary is the sole opinion of this B8 owner and does not necessarily reflect the views of anyone else on this board.)

Kind of surprised to hear the decline for the new A4. Usually brand new models outsell their counterparts. If I could agree with one reason as to why, it's cost. Leases suck compared to the past. As they improve, I think we'll see numbers improve. That or maybe more than just a few people are bitter over the downgraded tailpipes. ; )

Yep. June 2008 was the best month for A4 in 2008, more than a 1,000 better than any other month in 2008. It was an anomaly month.
