Default a4 after 50,000 miles

What are some of the common things that go wrong on an Audi, specificly the A4, after 50-60,000 miles?

We have 45,400 on our 2009 A4 Avant, and just had a tail light burn out. Otherwise all is well.

Uh,... and how the car was designed, and what the repeatability, reliability and longevity of the individual components are, and what the repeatability and reliability of the assembly process are, and what the quality of the post-acquisition service and materials are, and in what environmental conditions you drive it - very hot, very cold, very dry, very humid, dusty...
If I spend any more time thinking what could go wrong, I'd probably think it would fall apart before it arrives at 50k

From a Consumer Report's article on reliability in Yahoo today:

Europe's bumpy road

BMW had a bad year, with five of 11 models now scoring below average. Although the BMW M3 topped the sporty cars category, the 1, 3, and 5 Series models with the 3.0-liter, turbocharged engine had high problem rates related to the fuel system, among other issues.

Mercedes-Benz had the least reliable vehicles in three categories. Six of its 13 models were below average, and the GLK SUV was far below average this year. The redesigned E350 sedan was above average, but the new E-Class coupe, a wholly different car, was a disappointment.

Almost three-quarters of the Audi models we analyzed were below average. Volkswagen did better, with its Golf (formerly Rabbit) doing very well and the various Jetta models doing average or better.

Amongst Audi, the A4 is the best and A6 is the worst. If that makes anyone feel better. I couldn't find any detail on which A4 model.

Actually, according to Consumer Reports (or CR for short), the bad Audis (2001 to 2010) in order from worst to least bad are:

1. 2001 to 2005 A6 AllRoad
2. 2001 to 2004 A6
3. Q7 4.2 (3.6, 3.0T and 3.0TDI are okay)
4. 2004 A8L 4.2
5. 2005 A8 4.2 and A8L 4.2
6. 2002 to 2005 (excluding 2005.5) A4
7. 2004 and 2005 (again, excluding 2005.5) S4
8. 2009+ TT
9. 2008 A3

These are the only bad Audis from 2001 to 2010 with enough data for CR to rate.

If anyone is looking for an A4, I would say the CR is actually good news.

Based on the chart shown below, the A4 is Audi's most reliable model and has above average predicted reliability. The SUVs and the the larger vehicles like the A6 and A8 seem to drag the overall score down.

I'm not sure how good an indicator this data will be as it only reflects one model year. Guess it depends on how long you plan on keeping your car?

My intake blew out at around 60K I know of two others that did the same under 50K. I'm at 72.5K now and besides that, nothing else out of the ordinary.
