2010 Audi A4 TPS Stopped Working
Hi All,
The tire pressure monitoring system has stopped working on my car. The tire pressure went way below the recommended number and I didn't get any warning in the dashboard.
The TPMS stopped working after a raining day that the low TP warning lite up intermittently in the dashboard while the actual tire pressure was fine. I believe that is the day when the TPMS stopped the working. I'm not sure what caused it. Could it possible that the TPS soaked in the rain water and cause malfunction of the TPS?
My car doesn't have factory warranty anymore. So I don't want to bring to the dealer and it may cost me an arm and a leg to fix it.
I appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks

Does 2010 models even have TMPS sensors? 2009 models do; later models switched to monitoring of rolling radius, I think. The actual sensors are on the inside of the valve - there is no way they can get wet.
I would check the spare tire for pressure, although I am not sure if it has a sensor or not.
