09 Audi A4 does not start!!
Hi guys, I have a big problem with my 2009 Audi a4. I went to a workshop (AAMCO) to replace the motor mounts because they were broken, after they replaced them for me, I tried to run on the car but it didn't run at all. they told me that they check the computer system of the car and it shown about 21 error codes in several sensors! they telling me that I might need to replace them all! I think the car needs to be programmed again, because it was running normally before towing it to the them, they also saying that they are not responsible for any damages because the motor mounts has nothing to do with the computer system and the sensors. What do you guys think? because I'm really in a trouble!!!

Guess what guys! I went to the dealership yesterday and they told that there are two cylinders might have a missfire! The cost of opening the engin and determine the problem is1200$, they also told to put in mind that the cost of repairing these issues will be between 4000 to 7000$ in the worst case!!! and that is really expensive! do you think that costs this much money? or the dealer trying to ripped me off??

Not enough information . Did they erase all of the codes and then start it up to see what code appeared first. A miss could be a bad coil pack which would not require you to open the engine. If the same cylinders are missing after they reset the codes again it just may be coils. What were they going to do for the $1200 investigation? How many miles on the car. I suspect the $4000 est would be for rebuilding the cylinder heads or replacing the cams while the $7000 est is for an engine rebuild. Get more diag. info before you make a decision.

After ALL codes cleared. Scan code right after the first check engine light is on. The sooner the better. This way you can tell what starts the whole problem and then the domino effects to cause more error codes to follow.

As an independent shop, we frequently see these tactics played by big box repair and dealer franchises. I would run, or tow, my car elsewhere.
If the auto trans boys, caused the problems, would give them once chance to make right before getting aggressive with them.
The best advice from what I'm hearing on this is to find a shop that knows and regularly works on Audi's, or better yet specializes in them.
The problem doesn't sound major, but someone has major overhead bills to pay and wants your money.

I'm worry about switching to some where else, because they are not specialist in Audi! the nearest place for me is star motors in Clarksburgh, WV. I looked up the problem (misfire cylinder) online, and it really does not seem to be this hard, but nothing I can do about it!! any ideas?!

My first question is did you change the plugs at 45K? Black type of a normal size would be appreciated by all.
