Wiper problem - any help appreciated
06 2.0T. My wipers suddenly started stopping midshield on intermittent. Did web research, thought it was linkage and I started DIY but couldn't do it. Got the arms off (wth much difficulty) and the valence, but not confident to go further.
Before I go to the dealer or an indy shop, I'd like to know what the issue is. Wipers work perfectly fine in high and low mode, but after my tinkering and twisting to get arms off, now intermittent doesn't work at all. Still works fine high and low but when wipers turned off, stops in the middle.So
1) If dealer/indy says I need a new motor, how can that be if high/low works ?
2) Do I just need to replace the linkage ?
3) Is it the MMI, and if so why would high/low still work ?
