Sediment in coolant reservoir
Hi everyone,
new member and owner of a 2006 A4 1.8t. I picked this car up in November of last year and have just found sediment in coolant reservoir. Is this normal? If not, any ideas on where to start looking? Being my first car, not overly knowledgeable on engines. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Con,
Pull that coolant reservoir and clean it out. Or buy a replacement if bad. Drain and flush the coolant system. There are fittings kits on eBay, Amazon and others which allow you to connect a garden hose to flush the entire system Check YouTube for How-to vids. Replace old coolant with new 50/50 mixture.
Replacing coolant ever 3-5 years will keep your system in good shape.
Let us know how it goes with a follow-up post. Good luck, Hayabusafalcon....
