I am not a proponate of the 3.2...No need, heavier car, not as performance oriented etc etc...
I don't buy a car becuase of a review. I test what is available and in the class and make my own choices....why did I buy the car I did?
I can take my 2.0T with (240+HP/290+TQ) and run right with any of those cars listed from a performance stand point, have ALOT better of an interior, better Gas MPG, take AWD over RWD, Not have Mega TQ Steer in the TL and over hyped HP, Not buy a dime a dozen car like the G35, Not have the Japanese design and plastic intriors of a glorified Honda, Toyota (or is that a Scion) or Nissan. Not dealing with the F'ed up look of the BMW inside and out all while saving $$$ over the BMW's price. Thats why I bought the car I did.
Note that the above is MY opnion. The magazine had THERE opnion. So I guess my opnion doesn't count there results are the be all end all?
I dont see what your point is...apparently you drive an is300, so you come on an AUDI forum, talk about some results that are SUBJECTIVE to a magazine and its writers, throw out a blanket statements about a car... Then wait for people to refute the results so you can try and crack back on them? (IE myself, Tanner, AudiHenry) What's the point? I have a feeling that if Audi would have been top two with the BMW for example, you wouldnt have bothered to post this or commend the car...15 posts? People buy off reviews??
I hope you didn't buy your car based on reviews. I test drove every single competing car and made up my own mind. Do I really care if a car doesn't take the corner 1/10ths of a second faster at 60 MPH? It's all very stupid and impractical to me.

As 10% of the overall rating of the car? Sorry, thats one I would be glad to lose. If I was concerned with what others thought when I drove buy I WOULD have bought a Merc or BMW. No Thanks.
Not to mention how many diffrent Auto Makers are in the pockets of diffrent magazines...
There is a reason I dont get Car and Driver, Motor Trend etc etc....the only Domestic car mag even worth while is Road & Track.

There's a reason it's slow...
One, weight. The tested Audi is the heaviest, at 3820 pounds. Its lb/bhp is at 15.2, also the highest. Also, with Quattro, the Audi is not able to catch up as fast with RWD cars, like the Caddy, which had a similar HP and weight. It really only shines on twists and slippery conditions.
In the LOWS for Audi, it says, "Same brilliant Audi interior." Why is this a low? I miss the sarcasm. If there is on thing I like, it's the interior. Do they mean it isn't updated as much from the B6??
